I have witnessed many lives destroyed either as a result of dieting or complication of obesity. What has prompted me to write this book will surprise you; witnessing elementary age students having BMI of 40% and plus, I was shocked to see that at public schools.

Obesity no longer is a disease of adult obesity is killing and causing disability at all ages.

Children as young as 11 or 12 years old have a BMI of 40%. What has happened how we can allow 5 feet tall child to weight 280 pounds? I found that as my duty to write about it for two reasons to bring some attention to the fact and to provide some solution. I see that weight loss can be treated simply. If people understand role of nutrition and their brain chemistary. Elementary children are over weight, it is not only because of cafeteria food. As a person who works for a major school district in a metropolitan area in Los Angeles allow me to explain:

There are three simple reason for that
  • Under emphasizing physical activities.
  • Poor nutrition, meal served at the school (bean, chips, cheese, pizza).
  • Sitting nearly 5 hours a day in the class room.
  • Then going home toping that with McDonald or burger king and sitting on the coach and playing video game or watching TV.

When it comes to adult it is different game all together what come to play it is not only inactivity and large meal it is an emotional eating and carving brain that play a powerful role. That is toped with diet meal and medication for weight loss. That becomes non stoppable vicious circle.

Wake Up America!

Poor nutrition and sedentary lifestyles are serious contributors to the early mortality rates, just behind smoking and heart disease. Four out of ten causes of death are due to poor nutrition and poor eating habits, including the intake of hydrogenated fats, which contribute to heart disease. Children from pre-school age onward consume hydrogenated fats in the form of cookies, cake, and frozen foods. Children as young as seven have died from heart attacks.

The number one factor

The number one factor contributing to obesity in the U.S. is the imbalance between caloric intake and physical activity.

What causes this?

Well, there are a variety of factors. The availability and convenience of fast food restaurants, such as McDonalds and Burger King, certainly play a key role. American life is busier now than ever and it’s so easy to just stop in at a fast-food restaurant rather than spend an hour cooking a meal.

Obsession

For some people, obesity could become such an obsession that they will do anything and everything they can to manage their weight, including binging and purging (eating as much as they can followed by induced vomiting). The obsession escalates even more as they start consuming weight loss drugs that try to fix the problem superficially, by providing a generic program for everybody rather than addressing the real issues of each individual.

These superficial drugs and programs may seem like they work but the result is short-lived at best. The weight invariably comes back, and of course there are serious health risks caused by these types of dieting. The fact is that dieting not only makes you more obese, but also damages your organs. It leaves your cells in a state of imbalance and starvation. It causes your brain to have even more cravings more for unhealthy food.

It makes weight loss industries, food companies, and pharmaceutical companies richer at the cost of your health and well-being.
